Our approach

Advanced composite manufacturing begins long before material reaches the production floor. At DANTA, our focus is to establish the connection between engineering intent and manufacturing execution.

Built Around Engineering. Designed for Demanding Applications.

Material selection, structural requirements, manufacturing constraints, toolpath planning, process parameters and inspection requirements must work together.

We are building an AFP-led manufacturing capability intended to support the development and production of lightweight composite structures for applications where design, weight, geometry and process control matter.

01

Engineering

Translate application requirements into defined engineering and manufacturing inputs.

02

Manufacturing

Develop AFP-based manufacturing approaches aligned with component geometry, material systems and production objectives.

03

Quality

Build traceability, documented processes and inspection planning into the manufacturing workflow.

Technology

Automated Fiber Placement at the Core.

Automated Fiber Placement enables the controlled placement of composite material along programmed paths over a defined surface.

DANTA's manufacturing direction is centred on robotic AFP, supported by digital toolpath planning and application-specific process development. AFP suitability depends on the component, material system, geometry, production volume and qualification requirements. We assess these factors before establishing a manufacturing route.

Explore AFP Technology
Stage 01

Engineering Definition

Define component geometry, performance requirements, material requirements and manufacturing constraints.

Stage 02

Toolpath Planning

Develop manufacturing paths that account for the tool geometry, material courses, placement strategy and equipment limitations.

Stage 03

Robotic Placement

Execute the programmed placement process using the qualified machine configuration and approved manufacturing instructions.

Stage 04

Material Processing

Complete the required downstream processing in accordance with the material system and manufacturing specification.

Stage 05

Inspection and Documentation

Evaluate the component using applicable inspection methods and record the required manufacturing and quality information.

Engineering capabilities

From Design Intent to Manufacturing Execution.

A composite component must satisfy more than its nominal geometry.

Its performance depends on the interaction between material properties, fibre orientation, structural design, manufacturing process, environmental conditions and inspection requirements. DANTA's engineering approach considers these interdependencies when evaluating new component opportunities.

Quality

Quality Must Be Engineered Into the Process.

Material identification, storage conditions, process parameters, equipment configuration, operator competence, inspection methods and production records can all influence the final component.

DANTA's quality approach is intended to establish the documentation and control needed to support repeatable manufacturing and future customer qualification programmes.

Pillar 01

Material traceability

Records that identify material type, batch and handling history.

Pillar 02

Process documentation

Manufacturing instructions, approved parameters and equipment configurations.

Pillar 03

Inspection and qualification planning

Inspections, methods and acceptance criteria defined before production.
