From Engineering Concept to Manufacturing Evidence.
New composite components require a structured development process that connects requirements, design assumptions, manufacturing feasibility and validation.
DANTA's development approach is intended to help establish whether a proposed component can be manufactured using an appropriate process and what evidence is needed to progress.
Seven Stages to Production Readiness.
- RequirementsDefine the application, performance targets, interfaces and acceptance criteria.
- FeasibilityAssess material options, geometry, manufacturing constraints, risks and cost drivers.
- Process PlanningDevelop the proposed tooling, manufacturing route and process documentation.
- PrototypeManufacture development articles within the agreed scope.
- EvaluationInspect the articles and assess them against the agreed development criteria.
- Process RefinementAddress identified issues and establish revised manufacturing instructions where justified.
- Production ReadinessDetermine the additional validation, qualification, documentation and equipment requirements needed before production release.
Requirement review · Manufacturing feasibility assessment · Material evaluation · CAD and manufacturing data review · Toolpath planning · Prototype manufacturing · Process trials · Inspection planning · Development reporting · Production-readiness recommendations. The final scope depends on the agreed programme and available facilities.
Feasibility report · Manufacturing concept · Prototype component · Process observations · Inspection report · Identified risks and limitations · Recommended next steps. Deliverables are agreed before work begins.
Prototype Limitations.
A prototype demonstrates only the characteristics that have actually been evaluated.
Successful prototype manufacture does not automatically establish full structural performance, production repeatability, regulatory compliance or commercial readiness.

Describe the concept and what you need to learn from it.
